Cloning Agents

Quickly copy an agent with all its settings intact — for A/B testing, regional variants, or a staging version.

How to clone

Open any agent in the agent builder. Click the ··· menu in the builder header and select Duplicate. An exact copy is created immediately, named "[Original Name] (copy)", with all the same settings — prompt, model, voice, tools, and knowledge links — but a new name and ID.

The clone is fully independent. Changes you make to the clone have no effect on the original, and vice versa.

Note · Phone number assignments are not copied. Attach a number to the clone separately if you want it to handle inbound calls.

When to clone

  • A/B testing — run two prompt variants side by side and compare call logs to see which performs better.
  • Regional variants — one agent per language or market, each with its own voice and localized prompt.
  • Staging version — make risky prompt changes on the clone and test them before applying to the live agent.
  • New use case — clone a well-tuned agent as a starting point for a related industry or scenario.
